The mechanical part comprises three separate components
A part that can be removed in the horizontal direction, which holds the dynamometer that measures the forces. It makes readings both by moving the dynamometer in a linear direction on the base with the sliding handle, and when it is completely detached from the base. It has a nine-pin serial output for connecting to the display.
A display that provides continuous and instantaneous (peak) readings of the force measured by the dynamometer. The display can be detached from the base with handle so that the force measurements can be read in a convenient and practical way if the dynamometer has been placed in a particularly inaccessible position. The display also has an input for connecting the dynamometer and an output for the portable PC.

Thanks to the way it has been designed, the mechanical part can be placed in all the possible positions where impact, cutting, crushing, shearing, dragging and hooking forces can be measured. These findings are required by the European safety standards to safeguard anyone who comes within the operating range of the mobile parts of closing systems.
The computerized part consists of a portable computer on a Windows platform (not supplied in the kit) which processes the data detected by the dynamometer, files them and prints the final test graphs on a printer (not supplied in the kit).
